I made this dresser from some scrap pine, a heavy wooden reclining lawn chair, and some cherry floor boards. (for the drawer handles) I like the rustic look of this piece with its many knots and striking grain texture. This was one of my more ambitious builds and it was a first for some new techniques: dowel joints, floating panels, box joints and bridle joints.
Overall I’m happy with how this turned out. Although the drawers stick a bit and in retrospect could have made them a bit larger. The whole piece is very solid and can easily carry my weight.
